Capturing Glimmers
Pause and Be Still
Waking to the scuttle of squirrels chasing across the roof. Glimmer.
Taking a deep breath of the unexpected cool air. Glimmer.
Cardinals landing nearby to give new hope in a moment of doubt. Glimmer.
Hearing a text message ding and know he is thinking of me. Glimmer.
Watching an afternoon cloud transform from a dragon’s head into a bumble bee buzzing away in the breeze. Glimmer.
Capturing the uncurling of a plant’s newest leaf. Glimmer.
Anticipating the first star of night on which to whisper my wish. Glimmer.
These, just for today. Tiny moments that tingle my heart and calm my soul. Their magic appearing only when I pause and take a moment to notice before they fade away.
